These designs retain some original elements of the station to maintain a connection to reality: the iconic roof, distinct two-tier structure, the grid-patterned windows, and the main entrance.

Taipei Main Station is also known as a maze, famous for its complex and massive underground network. Almost everyone visiting for the first time has gotten lost at least once.
